What services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of manufactured electronic products, including bare and assembled printed circuit boards (PCBs), cables, wiring harnesses, stencils, membranes, and complete turnkey box assemblies. Our services cover the entire process from prototyping to production, leveraging both local and offshore facilities. We work closely with our clients on essential services such as product development, cost optimisation, logistics, and aftercare/repairs, providing a complete and seamless solution. Our comprehensive network allows us to provide competitive component sourcing solutions and life cycle management. We offer contract manufacturing services for the electronics industry, this always involves custom electronics as these designs are unique to the customer and application they are used in. We don’t manufacture nor do we currently have our own products and solely focus on manufacturing custom electronics for our customers.

What industries do you specialise in?

Precision Electronic Technologies has a wide variety of customers both nationally and overseas as well and their products are being used in 20+ different industries. The industries that make up the largest share are medical, utility, defence & Scientific.

What certifications and standards do your products comply with?

Our local facilities comply with ISO 9001 and we are currently on track to achieve ISO 13485 (medical) towards the end of this year. Our offshore manufacturing capabilities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO/TS16949 (automotive). The circuit boards we deliver are from UL approved supplies, adhere to IPC-A-600 (class 2 or 3) and are assembled to IPC-A-610 (class 2 or 3). All of our operators are trained and certified to IPC class 3.

Do Precision Electronics Technologies manufacture electronics for custom design and prototype products?

All of the boards we manufacture are custom designed for their specific applications and industry. We can assist from the early stages of prototyping through to volume production both done locally or offshore depending on the requirements of our customers. During the prototype stage we will provide feedback on the manufacturability of the product and advise on any efficiency gains that can positively impact price, quality, lead times etc.

What are the benefits of choosing an Australian electronics manufacturer?

There are numerous benefits of dealing with an Australian manufacturer versus an offshore based supplier. Some of these are; being in the same time zone, ability to visit the factory throughout the various stages of production, often favourable payment terms, dealing with staff in the same culture, avoiding extra logistics and cost, and quick resolution of issues. Besides this, we have longstanding partnerships with overseas manufacturers and can offer solutions that cater to various requirements and scenarios. If you prefer for your boards to be manufactured overseas, talk to our sales team as by ordering from Precision, many of the above advantages still apply.

Can you assist with product design and development?

We can indeed assist with all of your product development requirements and collaborate with various design houses.

Do you offer prototyping services?

We offer fast turn around prototyping locally in our facilities in Mitcham (VIC), assuming the components are in stock at suppliers, we can often get prototypes to you within 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the products.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For PCBs we like to work with a minimum of 2 panels as this is often used as a minimum by our network of PCB suppliers. We can then assemble any desired quantity of PCBs depending on your requirements, this can be as low as a single assembled PCB.

Do you offer after-sales support and maintenance services?

Our services don’t just stop at the delivery of your product, we can hold stock of full products or replacement parts, perform repairs on field returns etc. We can ship the products directly to your customers as well.
