After two years of lockdowns/cancelled events, we finally got to attend Electronex 2022 in Sydney on Tuesday, 5 April. Held over two days in Rosehill Gardens, it was the perfect venue to welcome engineers, designers, students and other CEMs across Australia. It was great to see fellow colleagues from the electronics industry and welcome new visitors to the event.

New and existing customers visited our booth (A6) to talk about their PCB, PCBA, cable assembly and custom enclosure requirements. We set up a video tour of our Melbourne facility to showcase our SMT, through-hole, mechanical Assembly and inspection areas. If you missed the video, let us know and we’ll orgainse an in-person tour of our facility when you’re in our neighbourhood.

Presenting at the Free Seminar
This year, we also got to present at the Free Seminar over both days; the topic: Top 6 issues that impact Manufacturing and Delivery. At Precision, we collect and catalogue every customer feedback we receive (complaints, enquiries, positive feedback and more). Over the past 6 months, we noticed a common pattern with the issues we encountered. To raise awareness across the industry, we decided to present them to everyone at Electronex. We will post about it more on our blog, but feel free to go through a similar blogpost we wrote in 2019.

Since 2020, the manufacturing space in Australia has changed significantly. The push to local onshore manufacturing, along with government grants, has revitalised the industry with new exciting projects. At Electronex, it was amazing to see the growth our peers have experienced with the procurement of new machines and introduction of new services.
We felt the event was a massive success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work from the organisers and sponsors. Electronex 2023 will be held in Melbourne and we are already looking forward to it. We will let you know about our upcoming tours and events on our Linkedin page and newsletter.
