We’re thrilled to announce that Precision has won the prestigious 2021 Gold Business Excellence Australia Award. We are truly honoured and humbled with this recognition.
We began the Business Excellence Journey in 2011, winning the Silver Award in 2015. In 2020, the Leadership Team began a very intense process of self-assessments against the following seven business areas:
- Leadership
- Strategy and Planning
- People
- Information and Knowledge
- Safety
- Service and Delivery
- Product Quality and Bottom line results
We worked very hard over countless zoom meetings to ensure the above were completed. If we fell short of the required level in any area, we documented these as Opportunities for Improvement. This ensured a cycle of continuous improvement across the organisation.
In 2021, we were assessed by the Business Excellence Evaluators in a very meticulous process, which is considered one of the most rigorous in the world. Winning the Gold Award is even more meritorious considering the ongoing challenges of the pandemic and subsequent supply chain issues our industry is currently facing.
There is a renaissance in manufacturing currently happing in Australia, and if we could see more manufacturing companies like ourselves embracing these principles, we would see Australia get huge benefits over the next 5-10 years without a shadow of a doubt.
Joe Hernandez, Precision CEO
